# 🎓 About the Ambassador Program
2+
3+
### What is the Cronos Ambassador Program?
4+
5+
A structured, scalable initiative that shifts growth from centralized marketing to community-led activation. Ambassadors lead local education, adoption campaigns, and builder support.
6+
7+
PS: thinking about becoming a Cronos ambassador?
8+
9+
👉 Get going by filling out the [**application form**](https://cronos.typeform.com/ambassadors)\
10+
11+
12+
**Who it’s for**
13+
14+
* Creators & educators who explain Cronos clearly and consistently
15+
* Community operators who run welcoming, active spaces
16+
* Developer champions who host technical sessions and mentor teams\
17+
18+
19+
**What you’ll do**
20+
21+
* Propose and ship campaigns (content, events, quests) tailored to your region/audience
22+
* Run beginner-friendly onboarding sessions
23+
* Support builders with meetups, quickstarts, and referrals to programs/grants\
24+
25+
26+
**How we support you**
27+
28+
* Brand kit, templates, event playbooks, referral guidance
29+
* Microgrants for approved campaigns and meetups
30+
* Badges, spotlights, and a clear path to level up your Ambassadorship game
31+
* Direct contact channels for additional support\
32+
33+
34+
### Our objectives
35+
36+
* 🌍 **Grow the Cronos Community #CROfam** — Increase and expand regional presence and host \
37+
recurring meetups in high-growth markets\
38+
39+
* 🧠 **Educate Users** — Provide clear guides, workshops, and localized resources\
40+
41+
* 🛠️ **Attract Builders** — Mentor and activate credible teams and projects building on Cronos\
42+
43+
* 🗳️ **Decentralize Resources & Impact** — Empower self-initiated, grassroots campaigns\
44+
45+
* 🎯 **Measure ROI** — Track outcomes and measure our impact on the ecosystem\
46+
47+
48+
### What we value and how we operate
49+
50+
1. **Multitrack Specialization** — there are multiple tracks for Ambassadors to choose from, such as content, localization, education, campaigns, champion builders, community ops and more! _(more on that in section Contribution Tracks)_\
51+
52+
2. **Localized Growth Engines** — we want to expand regionally, with localized chapters, translated content and culturally adapted programs\
53+
54+
3. **Ambassador-Led Campaigns** — we want to move fast and nimble: think bottom-up proposals with fast reviews and (potentially) microgrants\
55+
56+
4. **Tiered Incentives** — Ambassadors’ efforts should be rewarded. We do this with a clear progress path based on ranks. Level up from Rookie → Envoy → Sentinel → Elite → Council _(more on that in section Ambassador Ranks)_\

# 🏆 Ambassador Ranks
2+
3+
Your Rank as an Ambassador comes with **status badges and recognition** on all our official channels. The higher you move up in ranks, the more responsibility you can take on and the bigger your impact - and privileges - become. Rank reviews by the core team happen periodically and reflect your consistent contribution and impact.
4+
5+
6+
7+
* **🌱 Rookie** — Toolkit access, starter mission, light mentorship.\
8+
9+
* **🔥 Envoy** — Priority missions, occasional swag, feature highlights.\
10+
11+
* **🛡️ Sentinel** — Early previews, mentoring of Rookies and Envoys.\
12+
13+
* **🏆 Elite** — Regional/track lead; co-host rights for events & AMAs.\
14+
15+
* **🧭 Council** — Public program steward; input on proposals/roadmap, selective travel support.

# ✍️ Code of Conduct
2+
3+
To set the scene, here are some basic ground rules to abide by as a Cronos Ambassador.
4+
5+
6+
7+
* **Community-first**, accurate, helpful
8+
* Cite/point to **official sources** for technical claims
9+
* **Don’t promise returns**; avoid price talk or speculation
10+
* Visuals: follow the **brand kit** and keep layouts clean and readable.
11+
* **No financial advice**
12+
* **Disclose** (new or pre-existing) paid partnerships or affiliations to the core team
13+
* Follow **local laws & venue rules** for events
14+
* **Report spam/scams/impersonation** to program leads in Discord.
15+
16+
17+
18+
19+
20+
## Code of Conduct
21+
22+
### General Conduct
23+
24+
**1. Factual Representation:** Report facts, avoid attacks on individuals or groups of individuals
25+
26+
**2. Respectful Communication:** Engage with all individuals and communities respectfully. Avoid derogatory, discriminatory, or offensive language. Personal attacks, harassment, or bullying are strictly prohibited.
27+
28+
**3. Professionalism in Public Forums**: Whether on social media, public events, or any other forum, conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on Cronos. Before posting, consider how your words could be interpreted if reported out of context by media outlets. E.g. If a press outlet writes "Cronos ambassador says .... "
29+
30+
**4. Constructive Feedback and Dialogue:** Adopt a mentality geared towards constructive feedback. Focus on solutions and positive outcomes rather than dwelling on problems or assigning blame.
31+
32+
**5. Positive Community Engagement:** Strive to uplift conversations and encourage the community, especially in challenging times. Use positive language to motivate collective action and improvement. E.g. “We are a strong community, we can't drop projects at the first roadblock” , “Let's unite and make this project better, all token holders should make their voice heard to say the direction that they endorse” etc.
33+
34+
**6. Privacy and Confidentiality:** Respect the privacy of individuals and confidentiality of sensitive information. Do not disclose personal information, DM screenshots, private conversations without consent or share insider information about Cronos developments that haven't been made public.
35+
36+
**7. Collaboration over Competition:** While healthy competition is a natural part of the blockchain ecosystem, prioritize collaboration and mutual respect. Focus on how Cronos contributes uniquely to the blockchain space, without disparaging competitors.
37+
38+
**8. Ethical Considerations:** Avoid conflicts of interest, do not engage in or support fraudulent activities, always act in the best interest of the Cronos ecosystem.
39+
40+
**9. Affiliation with other projects, chains and/or tokens**: being affiliated with projects/tokens on other chains is not allowed. Affiliation with other projects/tokens on Cronos is allowed, however: this has to be disclosed to the core team, and be clearly indicated on the Ambassador's website and/or socials that such projects/tokens are not directly affiliated with or endorsed by Cronos Labs in any way. It is not allowed to leverage the exposure received as a Cronos Ambassador and/or the support (campaign microgrants, AMAs hosted, events, clout...) given to a Cronos Ambassador from Cronos itself to bring unreasonable attention to or have their affiliated projects/tokens benefit directly from such support.
41+
42+
43+
44+
### Example Scenario: Dealing with negative actors / intentional provokers on social media
45+
46+
#### **Recognize and Assess**
47+
48+
* **Identify Negative Behavior:** Negative actors often engage in disruptive behaviors such as posting off-topic messages, spreading misinformation, or intentionally provoking arguments. Recognize the difference between genuine concerns and negative actors seeking to provoke a response
49+
* **Example Response:** If unsure whether a comment is from a negative actor or a concerned community member, proceed with caution. Offer assistance or clarification on the topic. "It seems there might be some confusion about \[topic]. I'm here to help clarify any questions you may have."
50+
51+
#### **Do Not Engage Directly, or Use Facts and Disengage for misinformation**
52+
53+
* **Avoid Fueling the Fire:** Directly engaging with negative actors who are intentionally trying to provoke can often escalate the situation. Do not respond to provocative, off-topic, or abusive comments.
54+
* **Example Conduct:** If a comment is clearly provoking without genuine concern, it’s often best to ignore it. Focus on engaging constructively with members who are interested in meaningful dialogue.
55+
* **If responding to misinformation, briefly correct with facts and then disengage to avoid prolonged conflict**.
56+
* **Example Response to Provocative Statement:** “While there are varying opinions on \[topic], this \[source] states that \[facts]. For the sake of this discussion, let's continue to focus on constructive insights related to \[topic].
57+
58+
#### **Maintain Professionalism**
59+
60+
* **Keep Responses Polite and Neutral**: If you must respond, keep your replies factual, polite, and to the point. Do not mirror the troll's negative behavior.
61+
* **Example Response:** "We appreciate all feedback, but we encourage constructive and respectful discussion. Let's focus on building a positive community together."
62+
63+
#### **Use Platform Tools**
64+
65+
* **Leverage Moderation Tools:** Utilize social media moderation tools to report and block users who violate the platform's terms of service or the community guidelines.
66+
* **Example Conduct:** If a user consistently posts harmful or irrelevant content, report the behavior to the social media platform and consider using block or mute functions to prevent further disruption.
67+
68+
#### **Emphasize Community Guidelines**
69+
70+
* **Reiterate Community Standards:** Remind the community of the guidelines and the importance of respectful and constructive engagement.
71+
* **Example Response:** "Let's remember to keep our discussions respectful and productive. We're all here to support and learn from each other."
72+
73+
#### **Promote Positive Interactions**
74+
75+
* **Highlight Positive Contributions**: Shift focus from negative interactions by highlighting and engaging with positive, constructive community contributions.
76+
* Example Response: "hank you to everyone sharing insights and supporting each other! Your positive contributions make #CROFam stronger."
77+
78+
**Impact of not abiding by the Code of Conduct**
79+
80+
Be aware that in case of Ambassadors breaking the Code of Conduct, or seem to be involved in disallowed activities, the core team reserves the right to suspend Ambassadors or downgrade their Rank accordingly.
81+
82+
83+
84+
### Code of Conduct Quiz
85+
86+
FYI - when you start your journey as a Cronos Ambassador, you will be asked to complete a [Code of Conduct Quiz](https://cronos.typeform.com/code-of-conduct). It is important to review the information above before taking that quiz.

# 🧑‍🚀 Mission Control
2+
3+
### Missions: how to earn points
4+
5+
Missions are certain predefined tasks you can complete to help amplify the reach and success of Cronos.\
6+
7+
8+
* **Get started with Missions** by going to our [**Mission Control**](https://zealy.io/cw/cronosambassadorprogram/invite/rTuvVA45MMribW901_5Ku)\
9+
10+
* Missions are grouped per contribution track (see section Contribution Tracks) such as localization, education, content creation and more.\
11+
12+
* By completing Missions and providing ‘Proof of Work’ \*wink nudge\*, you become eligible to earn points…\
13+
14+
***each Mission earns you a certain amount of points**, which all go towards your total points needed to go up in Rank. _(The core team holds the right to attribute additional points on top of the Mission points to certain Ambassadors who have proven to be extremely impactful.)_\
15+
16+
* Check out the Ambassador Leaderboard where you can check your points in the overall Ambassador rankings.
17+
18+
### Moving up in Rank
19+
20+
Move up in rank by completing Missions specified in Mission Control. By accruing points and meeting the required amount of points, you can **move up in Rank** at the end of each review period.
21+
22+
**Points required per rank**
23+
24+
* 🌱 Rookie — 50
25+
* 🔥 Envoy — 100
26+
* 🛡️ Sentinel — 150
27+
* 🏆 Elite — 250
28+
* 🧭 Council – 500\
29+
\
30+
&#xNAN;_FYI - you cannot move up more than one rank per review period. E.g. you can’t go from Rookie to Elite, even if you hit the required points threshold for Elite in that one period._
