I didn't miss a daily challenge for a 100 day and yet i lost my STREAK, can anyone expalin this to me?

I was hitting my daily challenge as i didn't miss a single day for a 99 day straight, and all of a sudden i found out that i've lost my streak which is disappointing!!

I have now 3 day streak, although i didn't miss a single streak as shown in this screenshot:

I've had some long streaks break. I don't think it's based on the duration of the contest day, but on your local day. I normally do them at 7PM my local time which is when they go live. One day I did it at 6AM the following day and it broke my streak.

The dates on the submission definitely show I solve the following on Dec 21 and 22 respectively. :/

It really sucks as I was so near the 100th streak.

I see that the first 3 recovered their 1000+ streak, so we can trust you, hehehe

@chinchang I just kept playing, I was nearing the 100th mark again (I was around 88+ a few days ago) when suddenly it became 100+. and then I saw this on my gihtub notifs. So much for anticipating day 100! 😆

It probably didn't recover everything (or I'm misremembering if I skipped other days too), but it probably saved some other players from breaking their streaks. :)

Since then, I kept my own archive of my submissions in my own html page csspages-daa.pages.dev to keep track of how many daily targets I already submitted solutions on. It's close to 200 now. I bet other people have done it as well. This is probably the largest collection of small html files I've ever built.

I don't do much of the fancy code golf yet, I just wanted to do quick css exercises everyday and wanted to not break the chain. 😁
