Serverless messages (XEP-0174)

Hi I would like to know how easy (or hard) it would be to get XEP-0174 (serverless messages) implemented in Net::XMPP. I am looking to be able to have a script send me chat messages over Bonjour once it has completed running some task. Thanks in advance!

I believe this has been achieved in https://github.com/matsadler/ahoy but I am unable to check it myself as it requires ruby 2, and I am not currently able to upgrade.
