We could use mxl.github.io to better format the documentation, tracking the versions. https://docs.github.com/en/pages

Has there been any more detailed discussion about this? I know that Github recommends Jekyll, but Material for MkDocs is another popular option which I have personally used and had good experices with. This is in maintenace however so I'm not sure if it is a good idea for a brand new site.

Zensical is still in early development and the successor to Material for MkDocs. I haven't tested it out yet, so I'm not sure, how stable it is right now.
