Calling magit-gptcommit from elisp

I have some org mode workflows where I would like to call `(magit-gptcommit-commit-quick)` from other functions for a hook. However, this only works when a `magit-gptcommit--last-message` exists.

How could I go about generating the message for all existing staged files without having to be in the magit buffer?
