Using Fail2ban with Dovecot

Hi,
I am working with Dovecot 2.3.21.1.
It seems that the current log format does not match the failregex provided in the documentation.

Is there a chance to improve the failregex?

We don't support fail2ban, so this either needs someone to maintain or we should remove from the documentation.

If someone could provide the relevant log messages or point me to the right place, I could submit a patch. On the other hand, I don't think that page is necessary, as fail2ban already has a fairly comprehensive and up to date filter for Dovecot.
