Aspect is not working after spring upgrade to 6.2.6

Hi,

I am having a junit test which calls a method which inturn having @annotation call to aspect class. This setup is working well in spring 6.0.23 version but not in 6.2.6, as @annotation call is not getting triggered and so Junit testcases are getting failed for all aspect related cases.

Before upgrade:

aspectjrt, aspectjweaver - 1.8.7
Spring-aspect, other spring jars - 6.0.23
Junit-Jupiter- 5.11.0

Post upgrade:

aspectjrt, aspectjweaver - 1.9.24
Spring-aspect, other spring jars - 6.2.6
Junit-Jupiter- 5.12.2

@AmuthaKondusamy, this question seems to be a usage question, not a bug report or feature request. Therefore, it would be better suited with Stack Overflow than in an issue tracker.

Having said that, please also provide a minimal reproducer GitHub project.

@AmuthaKondusamy, it has been almost two months without you providing a reproducer. Like this, you are risking the issue to be closed as invalid.

Hi.. i have found the fix. Before spring upgrade we were having the @interface has been passed as one of the parameter in @Around method.

But after spring upgrade to 6.2.7, that was not working. So we have taken off that parameter and tried to get it inside the @Around method like below

@Retention(RetentionPolicy.Runtime)
@Target({ElementType.METHOD})
public @interface Auth {} 

@Around(@Auth)
public Object auth(ProceedingJoinPoint joinpoint) {
  Method method = ((MethodSignature) joinpoint.getSignature()).getMethod();
  Author auth = AnnotationUtils.getAnnotation(method, Author.class)
}

Thanks for the feedback. BTW, I have taken the liberty to reformat your comment a little bit.

I am reopening the issue, because a workaround does not eliminate the root cause of your problem. I am still waiting for a complete, minimal reproducer project, though. Please provide one.

Finally, in your sample code, @Around(@Auth) is invalid syntax. I suggest you update it to reflect what your real solution looks like. Thank you.
