• clang-tidy
  • initial ruleset included in repository and activated in CI
  • ruleset has to be improved: Rework .clang-tidy ruleset #381
  • if someone opens a PR to add a new rule, he'd the one to clean up the whole codebase
  • idea:
    • activate all rules of https://clang.llvm.org/extra/clang-tidy/checks/list.html
    • check how many warnings are there per rule
    • rules with zero warnings: permanently activate in our .clang-tidy ruleset
    • rules with warnings: create table/overview of number of warnings per rule
• Reference Platforms
  • What are the rules for adding new reference platforms?
  • Are there differnt "Tiers" of supported platforms? E.g. officially supported, community supported etc.
  • Legal implications have to be considered
    --> If there are no strong objectives new platforms can be introduced
• BNR currently in review before publishing

clang-tidy rules: Upon activation of new clang-tidy rules, a certain amount of cleanup might need to be done each. Find a process to address.

Also: Should we add more reference platforms, or replace the current one if we find a suitable other one, e.g. with multicore support.
