Problem with removal of cross.reactive.removal probes

I am using RnBead version 2.26 and RnBead.hg38 version 1.40.
Trying to remove probes affected with cross reactivity does not work:

> cross_reactive_result<-rnb.execute.cross.reactive.removal(rnb.set)
Error in rnb.execute.cross.reactive.removal.internal(integer(), annotation(rnb.set)) : 
  no Cross-reactive information in the annotation table
