Agenda

We have seen a lot of energy and much agreement on the direction for the JSON RPC spec. It is time for action. Meeting 3 is for setting delivery pace for the next weeks.

1. Delivery

• how to deliver the highest quality spec in the minimum viable time - discussion
• splitting work to executable items / forming delivery teams
• defining communication channels / opening to feedback on the progress of work
  (advertise Peep an EIP-1474 session)
• versioning level (whole RPC / per module / per method) seems contentious - do we want to find the optimal approach now or let it emerge from the spec?
• confirm the pipeline:
  • this repo for drafts (to deliver fast)
  • EIP-1474 for a polished spec (to go through the core devs approval process)
  • Eth1 spec Wiki for annotated / graphical representation for core devs
  • https://ethereum.org/en/ for annotated / graphical representation for users/community (with a link to Eth1 Spec page)
  • OpenRPC spec for the formalized spec available for tooling (linked from Eth1 Wiki and ethereum.org)
  • write a test case within Hive
