Repeated failed connections trying to access course

Hi, I've been doing chapters 1 and 2 of the course today and have been having repeated errors where the code cells either fail in their connection (giving an error message of: "Connecting failed. Please reload and try again."), don't respond to anything.

Upon closer inspection using the web developer tools the error is "CORS header 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' missing".

Quick update: I was having issues all the way up until the exercise captured in the screenshot above (chapter 2, section 13: Debugging Patterns (2)). Prior to this, I could get the code running by repeatedly pressing run code or reloading the page. However I actually can't seem to run this exercise at all, so I'm not sure if it's a separate issue (I then went on to have no issues running the following, final exercise in chapter 2). I wonder if it's potentially issues on the binder side with load or something.
