Request for Kafka exporter

We are interested in integrating the custom otel collector to our Observability Architecture.

But ideally, next step for us would be to add kafka exporter in bigip-scraper-config.yaml

Unfortunately that otel is part of the docker image:

image: ghcr.io/f5devcentral/application-study-tool/otel_custom_collector:v0.9.2

And I can't find the source for that.

Could we ask for a way to integrate a kafka exporter?

Hi there. A lot of time has passed. Can we discuss the addition of otel kafka exporter? Is a single module, I don't see why this is getting delayed. Thanks

You can add the kafka exporter via the configuration file. Please provide context on what's missing.

The otecol-contrib that you package on the container is missing kafka exporter module.

It should be as you say, a simple "exporter" section in the config file, but when you add that section it fails due to the missing module.

Note: We have 100+ Big IP boxes at our company, and this is getting in the middle of our observability efforts. Any help will be appreciated.
