Replacement suggestion? #345

Goodday,
Google keeps pointing me here for getting platformIO support in ST4.
The readme here says ST3 and it appears this uses Python2 which is EOL and has been for a while now.
I see there is a guide to get this to work but that still installs Python2 which seems like a bad plan to me.
The develop branch's last commit was 5 years ago so what i'm really saying is this plugin is dead.
Is there another that took it's place or did ya'll just switch to VScode or something?
