Picture explorer throws an error when opening a PNG #86

(My first issue here! I'm teaching with jes4py this coming semester -- see https://guzdial.engin.umich.edu/compfor-221-python-programming-for-digital-media/)

When I try to explore a picture that's created from a PNG, I get a strange error. I can't find where in the code the pictureTool might be opening a JPG file at all.
