Describe the feature you'd like to request

Hi
From a direct chat with @manuel-rw, and together with @community-scripts Maintainers, a more direct way to install homarr without relying from a source-build would be awesome and greatly simplify our deployment plus save a lot of hassle and possible erorrs for our users.

Some possible ideas for this would be:

  • Prebuilt .deb packages, allowing easy install via dpkg
  • a npm package easily installable via npm install
  • Any other sort of prebuilt package or image, just not something like docker, because of double virtualisation on proxmox.

Thanks a lot!

For additional discussion feel free to DM me or ping me in development channel on homarr discord. ^^

Additional information

A similar case was recently with Actual Budget, they are also a npm tool, they now offer a npm package which can be simply installed using npm install actualbudget and done.
