How to handle overlapping coordinates in recycled multi-storey environments within a trial for tracking data?

Hi,

My environment has 3 "storeys," for example, but I'm recycling the same storey for all 3 "storeys," changing only the floor labels on the walls each time my participant goes to a new "floor".

I'll like to be able to see my participant's movement on each "floor", but since I'm recycling the environment the coordinates for all "floors" will overlap. Is there a way to either have different tracking files for each "floor", or modify the y-axis whenever the participant goes to a different "floor", or add a separate "floor ID" column to the tracking file?

Hi, there are a few things you could try:

• You could record the "floor ID" on each trial, then merge the tracker data with trial results data
• You could create a custom tracker that tracks floor ID on each timestep: https://github.com/immersivecognition/unity-experiment-framework/wiki/Tracker-system#custom-tracking-scripts
• You could change your experiment setup to physically move the player up (y axis) to a given floor when needed
