How does frame caching or streaming work?

Hi, I'm trying to get some more information about how to put together a system like immichFrame -> frameo.

I understand we sidelod this repo to frameo and run immich image on a server.

My question is, does the immichFrame end up caching albums/images or does it only stream? Are the same images just continuously fetched every time it is viewed on a slideshow? Do I need to continuously run the immich container all the time, or only if I want to update images/albums?

This repo runs in docker, which is accessed via browser or other apps. Android is one of those:

Immich must be running as we access it's API for retrieving desired photos.
