Each time I open the same project, the current state of the Explorer Panel doesn’t seem to be preserved.

I’ve opened the same project multiple times. Since I don’t use the Servers Panel, I usually hide it and keep only the Explorer Panel visible.
However, after closing and reopening the project, the Explorer Panel area appears blank—it doesn’t show any content.

Ideally, I’d like the Explorer Panel to display the “Choose Server and Namespace” button each time I open the project, rather than remaining empty.

Could this possibly be a bug?

@hsyhhssyy VS Code core handles window management. You'd have to look in their docs to see if there's a way to persist your choice to hide a view. Why not just add the server connection info to your workspace's settings.json file so you don't have to select it every time via GUI?

@hsyhhssyy the Explorer view in the InterSystems view container is contributed by the ObjectScript extension. The Servers view in the InterSystems view container is contributed by the Server Manager extension.

Provided the Servers view is visible for your workspace/folder, opening the workspace/folder activates the Server Manager extension which in turn activates the ObjectScript one, causing the Explorer view to appear.

But when the Servers view has been turned off for your workspace/folder this doesn't happen.

This part of the ObjectScript extension's package.json defines which events activate it:
