How to enable remote logging (as the receiver)

I am trying to set up a server R (like Receiver) to receive logs from server S (like Sender). I added to R's monitor.ini

I do not see any mention of binding to port 9999.

When checking the open ports I get nothing either:

So I have doubts about the server having started at all. Did I miss something?

Try remote=1 (instead of true) - looking at the code it needs to be exactly that. I'll fix it to accept truthy values properly.

The wording you're looking for btw is Starting remote listener thread during startup :) it doesn't log anything about the port - would that be useful?

It is there, and it is great :) I was looking for anything remotely related to listening to a port (when I could not see the port in netstat) and this sounds just right!

Thank you. I will look at adding a few monitors (probably a time related one and something more complex with Home Assistant to dynamically look for unavailable devices)
