Merge some fixes please

ok so lots of issues going on with this plugin - to keep it short - if you follow the documentation - it doesnt work.

please merge the pending fixes....

I would also like them merged. As of today the plugin no longer works for me as the Github API needs updating because of recent GitHub deprecations I believe. There is an open PR for that, #86 please merge this and deploy a new plugin version.
