Collapsible merge commits on commits panel

Sometimes when i have a merge commit in between two commits in a feature branch, i have to scroll far down the commits to see the commits before the merge.

A collapsible merge commit would make it so that users can see below the huge merge commits easily.

Don't do that. Avoid merging master/main into feature branches, rebase them onto master/main instead. Problem solved. 😄

Apart from that use case, however, yes, I agree that folding merge commits would be useful. Some discussion about this here: #2843 (comment)

Another suggestion for solving the same problem in a different way is #3974.
