Error building KeePass domain list

I realize this issue has been "fixed" before (link), but this still happens with me. Same conditions, the password field has a quote (") character in it.

I'm on Windows, using the latest release (v1.2).

Can you post the error message and the offending CSV line? (Sanitized of course)

The CSV parser doesn't give me many options. Worst case you have to edit the CSV until it works :(

Line 12 of the .csv:

"WordPress / Gravatar","email@example.com","<restofpassword>\"","https://example.com",""

Could it possibly be because of the quote (") at the end of the password? A normal parser should just be able to escape that fine, but maybe the one you're using has some trouble with it 😕

Removing line 12 from the .csv file manually skips that error, but now it hangs (with the same error message) on line 45. The password there contains the sequence \",, which might be another reason for the parser to hang.

Removing that line as well makes the tool successfully go through the entire file and spit out the possibly affected services. For now I'll deal with the two services manually (not that hard 😉).

I'll leave the issue open if you want to have another look at it, otherwise, feel free to close it 🙂

It seems to be a problem when the \" is the last char of the field. If I add a letter behind it, passbleed can parse it.

Might have to report this as a bug against the stdlib. I'll have a look around their source but that could take a few days.

CSV is a horrible underspecified format to begin with, more edge-cases than features. :)
