Function to convert a map back to Equirectangular?

Are there any plans for the ability to convert other map projections back into Equirectangular? My use case would be converting a map into, say, an Authagraph projection, drawing on that projection, and then converting it back into an Equirectangular map. If it's not difficult, this feature would be incredibly useful. Thank you for your work!!

This is definitely possible, but it would take some work to get right. I unfortunately don't currently have time to do it. I'll leave this issue open as something I'd like to get to eventually, but it wouldn't be any time soon (could be over a year from now).

It would be super useful for mapmaking - currently I have to draw on a sphere in Blender to avoid distortion at the poles, then retrace those drawings in inkscape

So if/when you do ever get around to this, stereographic -> equirectangular (for svg files) would be greatly appreciated! I love the tool already, thanks for what you've done
