- Name: As provided for badge issuance
- Email address: For badge verification purposes only
- Payment information: Amount and payment provider reference (Venmo transaction ID, etc.)
- Badge verification data: Cryptographic signatures and verification codes
- XP system data: Contributions, achievements, and progress tracking
- Usage analytics: Feature usage and system performance metrics
- Error logs: Technical data for debugging and improvement
- Badge creation and verification: Generate cryptographically secure sponsor badges
- Anti-theft protection: Verify badge ownership through email-based verification codes
- Reward delivery: Track and deliver sponsor tier benefits and perks
- Service provision: Operate XP tracking and achievement systems
- Security: Prevent fraud and maintain system integrity
- Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
We DO NOT sell, trade, or share your personal information except:
- With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
- For legal compliance: When required by law or legal process

- Digital rewards: XP bonuses and system recognition are digital-only
- Service availability: Enhanced features subject to system availability
- No monetary value: Badges and rewards have no monetary or resale value

- No abuse: Don't attempt to exploit or circumvent security measures
- Respect others: Follow community guidelines and code of conduct

- No fraud: Don't attempt to create fraudulent or duplicate badges

- Best effort: Services provided on "as-is" basis
- Maintenance windows: Periodic downtime for updates and maintenance
- Feature changes: Functionality may change or be discontinued
- System dependencies: Requires Python, Git, and other technical dependencies
- Platform compatibility: May not work on all operating systems or configurations
- Performance variations: Performance may vary based on system capabilities
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- No express or implied warranties regarding service operation
- No guarantee of continuous availability or error-free operation
- No warranty of fitness for any particular purpose
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PROJECT MAINTAINERS BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect damages: Including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
- Consequential damages: Arising from use or inability to use services
- Punitive damages: Regardless of the theory of liability
TOTAL LIABILITY LIMITED TO: The amount you paid for sponsor badges (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless project maintainers from:
- Your use of the template and services
- Your violation of these terms
- Your infringement of third-party rights
- Your sponsor badge activities and related conduct
These terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Informal resolution: Contact us first to resolve disputes amicably
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, attempt mediation
