Derive?

I'm using this crate for my libvirt-rpc project. Works great so far!
Are there any plans to implement #[derive(Pack)] or serde integration?

Ideally it could just use serde and that would be fairly simple, but unfortunately AFAIK serde doesn't let you specify per-protocol constants for things like enum fields (for XDR switch).

The alternative would be a new xdr_derive which implements those traits, which sounds like fun - but I don't currently have plans to do it.

That said, I'm not sure how useful it would be. Any heterogeneous use of XDR will have to use .x files to specify the protocol anyway, so that you can do things cross-language. If its just derive from the Rust structures then it only supports Rust<->Rust - and I'm not sure XDR is the best tool for that.
