Hello all,
As mentioned in the repo description, I own(ed) an Acer Predator Helios 300, 2021. Since there wasn't any way to control the fans on Linux, I build this project as quick solution. While it is not as intuitive as the official Predator Sense windows app by Acer, this project gave me the ability to control the fan speed, fan profile and change the keyboard lighting (which never properly worked anyway).
I was intending to port this project to Qt6 or other frameworks but my laptop died abruptly on 10th of July, 2024. The entire main board of the laptop is internally borked making it useless. Peripherals like my ssd seem fine and I was able to recover the data, but the system was unrecoverable by the repair shop.
Hence, I will be archiving this project soon as I cannot test any changes. I encourage anyone interested and capable: to maintain an official fork this project.
