How to get the temps into my own .js file.

I can not figure out how to use my own .js and pull the temps that Grafana is using. I would like to tie some other functions with the temps. I am very new to raspberry Pi and node.js The program is great and works very well. Thank you for your hard work.

Are you asking how to export the data from Grafana/graphite to a "flat file"?

What I want to do is have a blower hooked up to a gpio and turn on when the Chamber_Probe drops below a certain temp. I want to do this with a node.js program however I am not sure how to get that program to read Chamber_Probe. Either export the data from Grafana/graphite or as var require.

There are a couple of ways you could do it. My plan was to integrate new code into tempiture.js in the main loop. Something like this around line 230:

if (probe.name == 'Chamber_Probe' && probe.temp > X) {
    fanoff();
} else if (probe.name == 'Chamber_Probe' && probe.temp < Y) { 
    fanon();
}

Alternatively, you could have something separate that queries the Graphite HTTP API.

I got it working thank you. One small change. The name of the probe is 'Chamber Probe' there is no _ in the name. I had to take that out to work.
