this looks awesome! Can it work with a remote borg server hosted by rsync.net (not S3)? I started the setup but the web UI won't let me change the storage path.

Feature Request is complete. Go to settings -> Update and update the software to v1.2.0. Once that is done, make sure to update the BBS Client / Agent software to v1.9.0.

There will be a new tab in Settings called "Remote Storage".

After configuring and clicking the Test button to make sure it connects go to the Client's Repo Tab and create a new repo, you'll have the option to create it locally or using that new Remote Connection.

Rsync.net website is down so I couldn't test them, but I did have a SSH account that has borg on it and it worked, backup, prune, and even restore back to the browser or the end client. This was something I really wanted to do.

You can even have multiple backup plans and backup to local and ssh and have two copies.

RIght now the Remote SSH Storage feature does not work with the S3Plug in. Still thinking that through. I'd have to rclone it through the BBS Server, and that would slow it down for sure.

Hi @trickfilm: rsync.net is still off-line but I managed to get a 10GB demo account with borgbase. Borgbase requires you to setup a ssh user for each repo and also has some weird specifics on how it connects. I've added some fixes in both the server and client (agent). borgbase support is verified as working now.

I will test Hetzner and rsync.net when I get some time.

thanks, will keep fighting with it. Something is definitely wrong with rsync.net's public site and customer dashboard right now, but ssh still works - I was able to run a borg backup manually this morning.
Not sure what's going on -- they have always been ridiculously reliable.

@trickfilm we added a rsync.net wizard now. update the software, it's in there now. It's fairly simple.
