Quiz Statistics Taking a Long Time to Load

I've got a report of a quiz with 26 questions including 2 stack questions that took between 20 to 30 minutes to generate the stats with 427 attempts.

Investigation March 2025 (v4.7.0) on Moodle™ 4.4:

Last calculated 35 days 21 hours ago there have been 0 attempts since then <--- task ignoring or is forced to run on demand when should be always done in the backend unless clicking 'Recalculate Now'

Page generation is between 20 to 30 minutes then:

Re-running 'Recalculate Now' completed in 1.9 minutes more acceptable, but would be cached in theory.

Investigation February 2025 (v4.9.1) on Moodle™ 4.5:

Last calculated 1 year 21 days ago there have been 0 attempts since then. Re-running 'Recalculate Now' completed in 1.81 minutes more acceptable, but would be cached in theory.

Page generation is still between 20 to 30 minutes then:

Is there something that can be done to extend caching questions in general but noting cache is generally a short term solution not when the lecturer comes back to this page every week or end of semester.

The quiz statistics has always seemed a bit slow regardless of whether there are STACK questions, but yes, STACK questions make this very slow indeed. I've noticed this problem. I'd need some advice from @timhunt as to whether there is anything we can do within the plugin to improve this. It really can be a problem.
