Card-sync capability when linked with Google account?

Specific My Work Board feature, quoted from MWB documentation, that could be good addition, for Scrumptious:

Cards [synchronize] on different computers (for this you must be logged in with a Google account).

This feature works quite well on My Work Board, but is only available on Chrome/Chromium because of the tight integration between these browsers and Google's Sync feature, which includes syncing Tabs. I do not see Tab-sync available on the Chrome/chrome-compatible browsers, at least not those with which I am familiar.

So, although Scrumptious now runs on Firefox and Chrome/Chromium-compatible browsers, tab sync implemented in this manner would only function on the Chrome or Chromium browsers.

I do have privacy issues with using any Google service, but perhaps for now this could be a work-around to provide card-sync without 'reinventing the wheel'? I wouldn't mind running a separate instance of Chromium, devoted exclusively to a syncing-version of Scrumptious.

N.B.: Señalador is getting bookmark-sync on browsers not integrated with a Google log-in, and so it is not limited to sync-functionality in Chrome/Chromium browsers, only.
It even syncs between Gecko (Firefox) and (compatible) Blink-based browsers.

Seems like we might be able to use something like this: https://www.npmjs.com/package/chrome-storage-largesync to achieve syncing. This would help us get around the limits of QUOTA_BYTES_PER_ITEM and QUOTA_BYTES that chrome enforces

Other possibilities on 'doing sync' that may be helpful for Scrumptious development::
Señalador uses a server at senlador.es. The syncing is just a bit 'laggy' compared to another synced add-on, My Work Board, which uses the Google server. I wonder this (the second one) add-on 'gets around' the bandwidth limits that chrome enforces? The same method that Max proposes, in the previous post, or something else?

With My Work Board. all you have to do is click 'refresh' and the changes made on the other device appear immediately. Unfortunately, the user interface is slightly rough and buggy, in comparison with the polish of Scrumptious.

Another problem, the Señalador sync-server 'goes down' occasionally. Right now, according to IsItDownRightNow, it's been offline for 'more than one week'. So this method may not be a good one to follow, unless reliability and response time could be made better.

Another possibility is to look at Vivaldi. Unlike Chrome/Chromium, its Sync section lacks a 'Tab Sync' tic-box, but after searching the Vivaldi forum, there are claims that it does, in fact, have 'Tab Sync' capability, but it's just not enabled at the location where one would expect to find it. The Vivaldi sync-servers are in Iceland. Vivaldi users on their forum report varying experiences with Tab Sync: it's solid, it worked from the beginning, and continues to do so; or, it's on-again and off-again; or it stopped working completely, and it can't be started again.

Apparently, a work-in-progress, although some of the posts go back a while, and it's possible it's been sorted since then. I run Vivaldi Snapshot, so I may give it a try to see if it their Tab Sync, in its latest incarnation, works with Scrumptious. I should have tried this earlier, but I had no idea the feature existed, just from reading the Vivaldi 'Help' pages.
