GPS coordinates update every 15 minutes in the Android app

I am using a Lilygo T-Beam 1W kit with the Android app.

When I am moving, the GPS coordinates displayed on the OLED update every 5s. When polling for telemetry data every 10s in the app, the GPS coordinates are updated every 900s (15m).

Why does the location in telemetry not match what's on the OLED display?
