Allow to rebuild DevContainers in the background #11276

Rebuilding a DevContainer can take a lot of time.
As the current DevContainer is usually not unusable and you often "only" add things to .devcontainer/devcontainer.json, which you already did manually in the current one, it would be great if the rebuilding could happen in the background and, if successful, you would then switch to the new one.
