Previous backups not recognized in Ubuntu 10.10 nor external partition #101

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start flyback
2. flyback does not recognize any previous backups on external drive
3. flyback may recognize /dev/sd3 but usually not
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The usual list of snapshots. No snapshots listed
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v0.5 or 0.6.5 on Ubuntu 10.10
Please provide any additional information below.
Flyback does not see any previous flyback backups done before upgrading to
10.10. I edited the backup.py file to recognize my external drive but flyback
only has recognized /dev/sd3 once while it sees sd1 and sd2
