ncurses not building

When I run npm install I get this result

I tried making sure that I installe the latest gcc and libncurses on Ubuntu.
I also download some c++ ncurses code and got it running.
Also this same thing happens when I try Blessed.

I would love to try this out. Any pointers would maybe help.
