it's a pretty limited use case but sometimes we need to record data at multiple non-compatible rates. usually for comparisons. but now, we could use it in conjunction with multi-dt integration to make sure we can log at all the configured dynamic rates without having to try some post-processing on trk files to put multiple rates from multiple files in one.
