As background for other readers:

Python version 3.9 reached end of life transition and has moved to the list of Python unsupported versions:

Python version	End of life
3.9	2025-10-31

According to
https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_enterprise_linux/9/html-single/installing_and_using_dynamic_programming_languages/index

the default version of Python is 3.9 on RHEL 9. Python 3.11 and 3.12 are also available.

and for AIX https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/aix-toolbox-open-source-software-whats-new it seems that Python 3.12 is available.
