Description
Hello Indré,
Just a question. There is a database on Holocene mammals from archaeological sites. It is free available:
http://datenportal.ianus-fdz.de/pages/collectionView.jsp?dipId=1650048
It is the result of some research project, I htink with the same title as the book: The Hollocene History of the Euroepan Vertebrate Fauna, edited by Norbert Benecke (1999). He extracted data on Bison bonasus and published a paper on that (see attachment), which is an obligatory citation for those who publish on that species. At that time, the database had some 7500 localities from different parts of Europe. I suppose that by now there is more. Are you aware of this database? Would it be good to explore the possibility of incorporating data from there in NOW?
All the best,
Jan
