web freezing when loading locality map

In a few instances when displaying the 'locality' and 'locality-species' tab, when you unfold the map to see it full the webpage will take some time to load or the whole web may freeze. I am using Chrome browser and an old, Windows 10 version.

This one is hard to test. On my laptop (ThinkPad, 3 years old, Win 11), the page loads easily, without a long delay.
The initial load of localities or the locality-species takes about two seconds, max. 5.
