Apologies, this might be because my level of understanding regarding this is still very new and low! It took me many reads of this section and online searches to understand this a little bit. It may be helpful to explicitly define semaphore at the beginning of section 35.2. Maybe a simple example of the wait and signal implementations to breakdown the denser text content in between may help too!
