How to add new jsonlogic features?

So I raised #1822 and was left with some questions.

If all/most clients implement client side evaluation
and all/most client libraries have no way to fall back to the server if there is a jsonlogic rule they don't support
then how will it be possible to extend the flag evaluation language in future, without breaking all/most clients?

We do this via the JSON Schema (flags and targeting).

It's noted here: https://flagd.dev/architecture-decisions/semantic-versioning-policy/?h=pol#flagd-components-and-the-flag-definition-schema. This is bundled with all implementations as well as published publicly.

Note that we are still on version zero because we've had no breaking changes and we haven't released a 1.0 yet (this is a goal). We have added new operators and features a few times, and we basically implement them everywhere, and then update the published schema, as well as the schema bundled with the providers - this finally makes the new operator "public".
