[design] Should task lists return tags?

Reference to myself. Not actionable.

The task list function currently returns tags in the Python implementation, but does not in the PHP implementation. Is it desirable to have the tags added? I am leaning towards no, because it always incurs the extra costs even if people don't need the information, and I am not aware of this being a much requested feature to begin with.

I would like too work on this issue .
I’d suggest we close this with “no tags by default” for task lists, mainly for parity with PHP and to avoid extra cost on every call.
If we need tags later, we can add them behind an explicit opt-in parameter.
