Add maintainers
The current documentation-website repo maintainers would like to nominate @peterzhuamazon and @cwperks as maintainers for the documentation-website repository:
- @peterzhuamazon has played a foundational role in both the documentation content and the underlying infrastructure that supports the site. He is responsible for the documentation build pipeline and has consistently strengthened the site’s infrastructure. Notably, he created an auto-backport merge workflow that has saved the documentation team significant time and reduced manual overhead. He also led the migration of the site from opensearch.org/docs to docs.opensearch.org, completing the necessary server-side work for redirects and ensuring a smooth transition.
In addition to his infrastructure work, Peter is an active contributor to installation documentation, regularly reviews pull requests, and has contributed directly to improvements in the website’s search page functionality. His broad involvement across content, tooling, and platform architecture demonstrates both deep technical knowledge and sustained commitment to the project.

- @cwperks is a member of the security plugin team and regularly reviews documentation related to critical security functionality (an area that is essential for OpenSearch users to utilize correctly). He is highly active in the repository, reviews a large volume of pull requests, and provides thorough, constructive feedback. He also works closely with many open-source contributors, helping maintain high documentation standards while fostering a collaborative and welcoming contributor experience.

Both Peter and Craig have demonstrated long-term commitment, technical insight, and a strong sense of ownership for the documentation website. I believe they would be valuable additions to the maintainer group.
