Import Existing Infrastructure

Is it possible to import the existing infra/service which are created manually in formae?

Hey @kirti-chopra, are you trying to import infrastructure which is created by formae with a "fresh" agent, as in, do you have two agents pointing at the same infrastructure?

no, the infrastructure were created manually. now i want to import into formae. how to do that ?

Hey @kirti-chopra, we have a Discovery feature that you can turn on it the config which will "discover" the infrastructure in the specified region. Then you can bring it under management by extracting it with formae extract --query="managed:false". If you change the stack and apply then the resources are coming under management.

Out of curiosity - can you retest by just running formae extract --query="managed:false" extract.pkl without the type to see if there are any resources?

this command also show No resources found.

Hi @kirti-chopra, would you mind sharing your log file? You can find this in ~/.pel/formae/log. I'm wondering if there is a permissions issue. I see you are trying to extract a (presumably discovered) S3 bucket. Are you able to list the buckets from the machine you are running the agent on with the following command:
aws cloudcontrol list-resources --type-name AWS::S3::Bucket
