how to apply idxmax to more than one dimension?

Is there a way to do something like da.idxmax(['lat', 'lon'])? What i'm after is the index of the value 4.0: x = 2 and y = 1

da = xr.DataArray(
    [
        [2.0, 1.0, 2.0, 0.0, -2.0],
        [-4.0, np.NaN, 4.0, np.NaN, -2.0],
        [np.NaN, np.NaN, 1.0, np.NaN, np.NaN],
    ],
    dims=["y", "x"],
    coords={"y": [-1, 0, 1], "x": np.arange(5)},
)

I don't think idxmax can currently do this. But argmax can

da.argmax(["x", "y"])

out:

{'x': <xarray.DataArray ()>
 array(2),
 'y': <xarray.DataArray ()>
 array(1)}

We should really align the two...

thanks. can verify with selecting da.isel(x=2, y=1)
