It would be nice to have a select number of messages directly available as RViz plugins such as RobotState, RobotPlan, GRFArray, and FootPlanContinuous/FootPlanDiscrete. This would greatly simplify rviz_interface or even remove it entirely, and also make the visualization tools more accessible to new members.
This is not particularly high priority at the moment but if there is enough interest we could look into it.
