Gamma spectrum file not supported

Hi,
When I'm trying to open gamma spectrum from an ORTEC system I get the output "File type 0x0 not supported yet. Please add issue". The raman spectrum included in the package works fine.
Has someone been able to open an ORTEC file using this package?

my code:
import spc
filename="C:/workspace/Spect 20_G01_stub100-center.spc"
#filename="C:/workspace/raman.spc" #test file
f=File(filename) #read file

Output:
File type 0x0 not supported yet. Please add issue.
