Microsoft is turning off Basic auth for SMTP, IMAP and POP among others.

Is there a way to enable/use OAuth2 for the SMTP and IMAP for Gitlab Emails?

Anyone have any Idea as If I enable the Security Defaults on my 365 Tenant I cannot use emails with my GitLab

At least for SMTP (outgoing email from gitlab), it seems to be an upstream issue. See https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/341908 and https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/8259

For IMAP (incoming email - reply to issue by email for example), we have some task to do - As far as I could see immediately, there is tasks like to follow the changes to configuration file introduced in https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/merge_requests/58250 . This will be included in #2570 (you can see configurations to support Microsoft Graph API for incoming email will be added).

I would be very happy if you could create a PR if you are in a hurry (just like for KAS #2598)
