Galleri wont accept to large file size even with resize engabled

Im not sure if its a bug or user error.

but when enabling: Resize bigger images:
like this

I assumed it would be scaled down to the correct resolution and file size.
But high-quality images with large file sizes and high resolution are rejected.
Large images with small file sizes are accepted and resized.

or did i mess up a setting?
