PDC was meant as a standarized way to (indirectly) deal with NBT, the way it was made makes it easier to keep plugin conflicts at a minimum since each tag added by PDC is namespaced by their plugin

I don't think I've touched metadata in nPaper nor Sathonay, I don't know if it'd be a good idea, it'd make setMetadata deprecated + I don't know if Sathonay would do it tbf
