It would be awesome if the canvas size can be changed

I guess, I'm not understanding at the moment, what the current length units are. What are they? Not pixels, are they?

I'm working on a layout sketch of a house and I made initial crude outside measurements in feet, then inner actual more refined measurements in inches, which I converted to feet on the fly everywhere by dividing by 12. So my entire sketch as far as I'm concerned is in feet.

The default current (and only available) canvas size specified at the top of it is:
"paper: A4 scale: 1:1 ver. 0.2"

But I'd really like to easily make my sketch fill up the entire canvas without manually multiplying each measurement by a factor, you know.
So making the height and the width of the canvas adjustable would be a flexible and powerful addition to the functionality of Repocad! (Some folks might want to have the landscape orientation and not portrait, so that would allow for that as well.)

Hi Idash,

1. units
   Units are millimeters. It is on the todo list to be able to switch to the inches. When the scale reads 1:1 it means that anything you print to PDF and print out on a printer will be in mm.

2)scale
I can see there is a bug - the scale used to be dynamic, so that when the drawing exceeds the paper boundary the scale automatically changes to 1:2 (and 1:5, 1:10, 1:20 etc. depending on the drawing size). That means, when a 400 mm line is printed to PDF and then on paper, that line would be 200 mm. in print - scaled down to 1:2 so that it remains within the A4 paper boundary.
An obvious improvement that we just simply did not get around to yet would be to add different paper sizes (like you propose i think), så that you can choose to lock the print scale, but instead enlarge the paper size.

For starters we will fix the automatic paper scaling issue! I will let you know when it is fixed.

Ah bummer, I'll make an issue on the scaling. One reason for the brokenness is I'm not quite sure conceptually how it should be handled. I'll get around to it soon.
The reasoning around the units, I guess, is that it's just 1 whatever. It could be feet, meters, yards etc. But like you and Ole is pointing out, it could be great with a conversion system. I'll make an issue for that too.

Regarding coordinates the geometric (0,0) is based on whatever you type in the script. The visual origin on the page (what is shown on the paper) is picked by calculating the center of the coordinates on screen. So while the math should have constant coordinates, the center of the paper will 'move' based on what you put on it. Put simply it should always be centered.
